Demos

The MADiMa 2019 organizes a demonstration track – an interactive way to present applications and prototypes. In addition to the papers presenting the latest theoretical advances, MADiMa 2019 is seeking for real-world demonstrations of novel portable solutions for dietary assessment/management, using:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Multimedia
  • Computer vision
  • Augmented reality
  • Wearable sensors
  • Computerized food composition/recipe analysis or other technologies relevant to the workshop’s themes

We encourage demonstrations of working systems from early prototypes to mature product-oriented solutions originating from both industry and academia. To participate in the demo track you are expected to submit an abstract demo proposal (up to one page) by sending an email at info (at) madima (dot) org. The abstract should describe clearly:

  • the technology demonstrated
  • the research background and context
  • the aspects of novelty

One image should be included in the abstract while short videos may also be linked. The abstracts will be made public on the website after acceptance, with the authors’ consent.

The facilities provided by the organizers for the demos include tables, poster boards, power outlets and wireless (shared) Internet connection. Demo presenters are expected to bring themselves everything else needed for their demo, such as laptops, sensors, power adapters etc.
